La Chispa

Dr. Carbonero – Character and Narrative for “La Chispa” For the fire starter brand La Chispa, I developed the character design for Dr. Carbonero, a master of fire with a comical yet temperamental personality. The goal was to create a visual and narrative resource that could connect with the audience through humor, while conveying the product’s ease of use and effectiveness. The project was brought to life in an animated podcast where Dr. Carbonero attempts to teach an inexperienced apprentice how to light a fire the “traditional” way. However, after several failed attempts and his growing frustration, the solution always comes through La Chispa—reinforcing the core message: lighting a fire can be fast, simple, and hassle-free.
